Those Girls audiobook by Chevy Stevens

In the midst of a bustling city, during my morning commute on the subway, I found myself engrossed in the gripping world of “Those Girls audiobook” by Chevy Stevens. As the train rumbled along the tracks, I was immediately drawn into the lives of the three Campbell sisters, Dani, Courtney, and Jess, as they struggled to escape a life of abuse and violence.

Chevy Stevens, a talented novelist of mystery thrillers and women’s fiction, weaves a tale of resilience and survival that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story takes place in the remote wilderness of Western Canada, where the sisters work tirelessly on a ranch to avoid their father’s wrath. However, a fateful night leads them down a path they never expected, and they find themselves in a desperate and terrifying situation.

The narration by Jorjeana Marie, Nicol Zanzarella, and Emily Woo Zeller brings the characters to life, but unfortunately, their performance fell short. The voices came across as whiney, annoying, and frustrating, which detracted from the overall experience of the audiobook.

Despite the narration, “Those Girls” is a captivating read that will leave you on the edge of your seat. While not as strong as Stevens’ other novel, “Still Missing,” it is still intriguing and difficult to put down. The story explores themes of sisterhood, survival, and the lengths we will go to create a new life for ourselves.
