With the warmth of my chai, I began my journey into Akshat Gupta’s world, narrated impeccably by Vivek Bhatia. As a 30-year-old woman trying to find a connection between my modern life and ancient tales, the premise of the story intrigued me.

In the initial chapters, the detailed introduction to each character gave a unique depth, making me feel as if I was a part of their world. The tantalizing mystery of the hidden Hindu made me speculate – I too believed it was Om Shastri. The narrative’s shift towards a more brutal tone was unexpected, making my heart race with each unfolding event.

However, as the story progressed, I couldn’t help but notice the simplicity of the language, often reminiscent of my school days. Certain dialogues and reactions felt exaggerated, pulling me away from the immersion I initially felt. The narration, though clear, sometimes couldn’t make up for the pacing issues in the story.
