As I sat on the cabin porch, the gentle chirping of birds and the rustling leaves juxtaposed with the harrowing tale of a murderer who seems to always be one step ahead of Kim. It was almost eerie how, amidst the peacefulness, I was being pulled into a game of cat and mouse.

I’ve always admired Kim for her tenacity, but this story made me appreciate her even more. Delving into her past, facing her own demons to catch a killer? It’s an emotional whirlwind, and I felt it with every twist and turn.

What makes Evil Games even more special is its standalone nature. While it’s a part of a series, you can jump right in without feeling lost. Still, the allure of Kim and her team is undeniable, making me want to journey back to Silent Scream just to relive their earlier adventures.

Jan Cramer’s narration is like the cherry on top. Her voice, familiar and yet fresh, accentuated the suspense, making the story come alive. It felt as though she was right there with me, narrating a dark tale by the fireside.
