As a fan of mystery and suspense, I was eager to dive into this seventh installment of the Kendra Michaels series, and while it had its moments of intrigue, it fell short of my expectations.

Narrated by the talented Elisabeth Rodgers, whose captivating voice has graced the previous chapters of this series, Hindsight continued to showcase her exceptional storytelling skills. Her ability to bring the characters to life and immerse me in their world is truly commendable.

The story revolves around Dr. Kendra Michaels, an extraordinary investigator who regained her sight after being blind for two decades. Armed with her razor-sharp senses, she becomes embroiled in a case close to home when two staff members at her former school are brutally murdered. The contrasting methods used in each murder raise questions about whether they are connected or if there is more than one killer at large.

While Iris Johansen and Roy Johansen have delivered outstanding novels in the past, Hindsight unfortunately falls short of their usual high standards. The plot feels lackluster and fails to maintain the gripping suspense that I have come to expect from this series. However, fans of Kendra Michaels may still find enjoyment in following her latest investigation.
