In the quiet of a lazy Sunday morning, I found myself transported to a galaxy far away as I delved into the captivating world of Wings of the Reaper audiobook by JN Chaney and Scott Moon. This science fiction and fantasy novel is the fourth installment in The Last Reaper series, and it did not disappoint.

The story follows Halek Cain and his crew as they navigate through treacherous slip tunnels, evading a psychopathic enemy with a fleet of deadly warships. However, one aspect that fell short for me was the change in narrator. Tom Taylorson took over from Ray Porter in this installment, but unfortunately, he was unable to meet the high standards set by his predecessor.

Despite this minor setback, Wings of the Reaper offers an immersive audio experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The intricate plot twists and turns, keeping you guessing until the very end. If you’re a fan of science fiction and fantasy novels with thrilling action sequences and complex characters, this audiobook is definitely worth your time.
