Elizabeth Wein’s storytelling skills are commendable, and she effortlessly transports readers to a time filled with danger and resilience. Sasha Pick’s narration was mostly enjoyable, especially her American accent which suited Rose’s character perfectly. However, her attempts at foreign accents fell short, particularly when portraying Polish and French characters. Nonetheless, her overall performance added depth to the story.

Rose Under Fire explores themes of loss, survival, and friendship amidst unimaginable circumstances. The bond formed between the women in the concentration camp is heartwarming and inspiring.
