Were there things I didn’t love? Perhaps at times some exposition could’ve been trimmed—a hazard for many world-heavy fantasies—but honestly, those slower moments also allowed space for reflection amid high-stakes tension. If anything pulled me out occasionally, it was wishing we spent more time unraveling certain side characters’ stories before rushing into another crisis…but that only speaks to how invested I’d become in all their fates!

For fans of LitRPGs or Gamelit adventures—with stat-driven progression systems woven naturally into plot—you’ll find plenty here: skill upgrades are meaningful rather than mechanical checklists; quests hold emotional weight alongside strategic importance. But newcomers will appreciate that Oswald never sacrifices heart for mechanics—the stakes always feel personal as well as planetary.
