From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The story follows Tongue, a man who has spent most of his life hiding in the shadows, until Daphne pulls him into her light. Their relationship is raw, intense, and beautifully flawed. As someone who loves character-driven stories, I found myself completely invested in their journey. Tongue’s struggle to adjust to a life filled with light and love felt so real – it reminded me of how we all have moments where we feel unworthy of happiness but learn to embrace it anyway.

But then… things take a heartbreaking turn. When Daphne loses her memory and no longer remembers Tongue or their love, my heart shattered into pieces. Joe Arden’s narration during these scenes was absolutely gut-wrenching. You could hear the pain and desperation in his voice as Tongue grapples with losing the one person who brought him out of darkness. And Maxine Mitchell’s portrayal of Daphne was equally powerful – her confusion and vulnerability were palpable.

What struck me most about this story was its exploration of love and resilience. Even when everything seems lost, Tongue refuses to give up on Daphne. His determination to make her fall in love with him all over again is both heartbreaking and inspiring. It made me reflect on how love isn’t always easy – it requires patience, sacrifice, and sometimes starting over.
