If I’m nitpicking: occasionally some side characters felt thin compared to our vividly-drawn lead—I wanted more time with certain aliens or antagonists whose motives intrigued me. But given how much ground this series covers across two audiobooks collected together, it feels forgivable; you’re swept up in momentum rather than lingering too long anywhere.
