There’s something magical about listening to an audiobook while curled up on the couch with a blanket and a steaming cup of tea. That’s exactly how I experienced “Raelia Audiobook” by Lynette Noni, narrated by Carly Robins. From the very first chapter, I was transported back to the enchanting world of Medora, where impossibilities are just another part of everyday life. This second installment in “The Medoran Chronicles” picks up right where “Akarnae” left off, and it doesn’t disappoint.
Alexandra Jennings is back at Akarnae Academy for her second year, but this time, the stakes are even higher. Aven Dalmarta, the banished prince from Meya, is still hunting her down, and his quest for power threatens not only Alex but all of Medora. The story is packed with action, mystery, and heartwarming friendships that make you root for Alex and her friends every step of the way. What I loved most about this book was how it balanced intense moments with lighthearted humor – it felt like a perfect blend of adventure and camaraderie.
Carly Robins’ narration brought so much life to the characters. Her ability to switch between voices made each character distinct and memorable. Whether it was Alex’s determined tone or Bear’s playful banter, Robins captured their personalities flawlessly. The pacing was spot-on too; she knew exactly when to slow down for emotional scenes or speed up during action-packed sequences.
One thing that stood out to me was how relatable Alex felt as a protagonist. She’s brave but also vulnerable, unsure of herself at times yet willing to do whatever it takes to protect those she loves. Her journey in “Raelia” is one of self-discovery as much as it is about saving Medora from Aven’s wrath.
By the end of this audiobook (which flew by despite its 14-hour length), I found myself completely immersed in Lynette Noni’s world-building once again – and eagerly anticipating what comes next in this series! If you love fantasy stories filled with magic, friendship battles against dark forces then definitely give “Raelia Audiobook” a listen!
