Now in his fifth year at Hogwarts, Harry learns that many professional members do not know the truth about his encounter with Lord Voldemort.
The Order of the Phoenix was an underground society created by Albus Dumbledore in order to fight Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. The first Order was formed in the late 1970s. It was created following Voldemort came back to England from the United States and began his quest to be the new Ministry of Magic and persecute Muggle-borns.
The Order collaborated alongside the Ministry to fight The Dark Lord and his followers and played an important part throughout the First Wizarding War. Their first victory was in 1981, when Voldemort suffered his first defeat against Harry Potter. The victory came at the cost of many people in their ranks.
The Order was disbanded, but it was reconstituted in 1995, after Harry Potter informed Dumbledore of Lord Voldemort’s return. The Ministry did not accept that Voldemort was the Dark Lord had returned, so the Order only worked to defend Harry Potter and the prophecy regarding Harry Potter and Voldemort within the Department of Mysteries. Following a fierce battle on the 18th of June, 1996, between the Order Dumbledore’s Army as well as Death Eaters, Death Eaters, the Ministry finally acknowledged the truth.
The next year would be the year of that Order falling under the leadership of its leader, and the Ministry being sacked by Voldemort. The Order continued to be an underground resistance that tried to defend Muggles and spread the truth during the darkest moments in the Second Wizarding War.
They responded to the call to arms issued by Dumbledore’s Army on May 2, 1998, and fought Voldemort as well as the Death Eaters for the final time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was the Battle of Hogwarts that ended with Harry Potter’s death at Voldemort’s hand and an important win for Harry Potter’s Order as well as their allies.

It is without a doubt that Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix Audiobook for free includes one of the more thrilling hilarious, inspiring, and heart-breaking scenes from the entire series. One of my most-loved scenes is when the Dumbledores Army decides to wreak chaos on the high-inquisitor (with several of his teachers getting involved having laughter) and Fred George’s stunning defiance. I’m still smiling when I think about the scene!
The audiobook is truly an absolute gem and is beautifully presented.
