As the morning sun gently filtered through the curtains, I found myself immersed in the world of Dust audiobook by Patricia Cornwell. Curled up in bed with a hot cup of tea, I delved into this mystery thriller, eager to uncover its secrets.

Patricia Cornwell, a master of the crime mystery genre, weaves a gripping tale in her Scarpetta series. In Dust, we follow Dr. Kay Scarpetta as she returns home to Massachusetts after a harrowing investigation. The discovery of a dead body on a rugby field sets off a chain of events that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Narrated by Kate Reading, the performance was decent but lacked the depth needed to fully bring out the characters’ emotions. Despite some shortcomings in narration, the story itself kept me captivated with its intricate plot twists and suspenseful moments.

The atmosphere created by Cornwell’s vivid descriptions and Reading’s voice transported me to the crime scenes and investigation rooms, making me feel like a part of Scarpetta’s team unraveling the mystery.
