The chemistry between them was palpable, and I found myself completely absorbed in the tension and intrigue. Mac’s journey is one of resilience and self-discovery, and as she grapples with her growing powers and the dangerous men vying for her trust (and more), I couldn’t help but feel a deep connection to her struggles. Her vulnerability mixed with her fierce determination made her so relatable, even in this fantastical setting.

The story itself is a whirlwind of emotions – dark, sensual, and utterly gripping. The Lord Master’s insidious influence over Mac added an edge of danger that kept me on the edge of my seat. And then there’s Jericho Barrons – oh, Barrons! He’s such a complex character, equal parts infuriating and irresistible. Every interaction between him and Mac left me wanting more. The Fae prince V’lane added another layer of temptation, making it impossible not to get swept up in the love triangle.

As the plot unfolded, I found myself completely immersed in Mac’s world – the cryptic diary entries from her sister Alina, the sinister power of the Dark Book, and the looming threat that sends her racing back to Georgia. The stakes felt incredibly high, and I couldn’t stop listening as Mac faced one challenge after another. By the time I reached the end (which left me desperate for more!), I felt like I had been on an emotional rollercoaster.

Listening to “Dreamfever” in my garden that morning was such a unique experience. The contrast between the serene surroundings and the intense storyline made it all the more memorable.
