And while younger fans will eat up the imaginative creatures and spells, older listeners like myself can appreciate Mull’s subtle meditations on fear, destiny, and finding light even when surrounded by shadows.

My only real quibble was that there were places where world-building details seemed almost overwhelming—a dizzying parade of new powers or rules unique to Necronum—but that’s par for the course in epic fantasy sagas like this one. Most importantly: none of it slowed down the story’s emotional momentum or sense of wonder.

If you’re seeking an audiobook that pulls you into its universe so completely you forget your own surroundings—or if you love tales where deep friendships face impossible odds—“Death Weavers” delivers beautifully on both counts.
